The word Teacher (Acharya) has many connotations; a spiritual guide, sports teacher, a person elevated in spirit and strength or one with a calm mind and clear thought. All of us seek inspiration, encouragement and guidance from a Guru. It therefore is important and necessary that due respect be offered to such persons who can aptly fit this description as teachers.

During the months of May and June of every academic year, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, (HSS) organizes Guru Vandana events across the nation to honor teachers and their contribution in the society. Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, Alberta celebrates Teachers Appreciation (Acharya Vandana) on respective shakha basis. We welcome all of you join with us in celebrating this years Teachers Appreciation (Acharya Vandana) during February – March 2020. Exact dates and locations will be posted soon.
